Essential Driver Training
In this video, the Essential Driver Training programme, known as EDT, is covered in more detail.
The ultimate aim of EDT is to keep young drivers safe on Irish roads by working with them to become competent, confident and skilled drivers. This video will outline the different components of EDT, including the role of the ADI and how to find one, as well as how to choose a sponsor, the person chosen by you to support you as you learn to drive. This video also shows what happens in your first EDT lesson as well as the preparation required beforehand. |

Your Driving Test
Before undergoing a driving test the RSA Driver Testing Services request that all test candidates demonstrate the basic principals, understanding location and use of the primary and secondary controls of a vehicle.
You must have completed your 12 EDT or for some the shortened version of 6 EDT lessons. You must be at driving test standard and have an appointment time, date and test centre venue, you must provide a roadworthy vehicle, taxed, insured and a valid NCT disc if applicable, etc., etc., For more visit www.rsa.ie Please play one video at a time. |
